Free IELTS practice tests

Three free tests when you sign up, marked the moment you finish. Take a full Listening or Reading paper, or a single section when you only have twenty minutes.

What you can practise

The practice library inside the app covers all four modules, and each one is built to the exam's format rather than to a generic quiz layout.

Practice that is worth the hour

Answering a hundred questions changes very little on its own. What moves a band is the review afterwards, and most candidates skip it because the score is the satisfying part.

Every practice test in the app is marked per question, so review is concrete: you can see that you lost six marks on matching headings and one on multiple choice, rather than concluding that Reading is hard.

Where practice stops and a mock test starts

Practice sections build technique. They cannot tell you what happens to your Writing when it comes at the end of nearly three hours of testing, and they cannot give you a reliable Writing or Speaking band, because both need a trained human marker.

The AI Writing Check and the AI Speaking practice are deliberately called estimates. They are fast, specific and useful for spotting recurring problems. They are not examiner marks, and we would rather say so than let you plan around a number that was never a result.

A workable weekly routine

Frequently asked questions

Are the IELTS practice tests really free?

The app is free to download and you get three practice tests when you sign up, with no card required. After that, a subscription keeps the full library open along with the AI Writing Check and AI Speaking practice.

Do I need a learning centre to practise?

No. You can create your own account in the desktop app and use the practice library on your own. A learning centre is needed only for full mock exams graded by a human examiner.

Is the practice material Academic or General Training?

The library covers Academic material, which shares Listening and Speaking with General Training. Reading and Writing Task 1 differ between the two versions.

Can I practise on my phone?

The practice app is a desktop application for macOS and Windows. That is deliberate — the real computer-delivered test is taken on a desktop screen with a keyboard, and practising on the same shape of device is part of the point.
